General Comments on the Website mubashirnazir.org

Dear Mubashir;

Walaikum Salam……

I have gone through the site thoroughly and found the new travelogue quite informative and elaborative. As for the Quranic Arabic course, you have done a wonderful Job and i am now very hopeful that whenever i would have time to learn Quranic Arabic, i have an authentic resource to rely Upon. God will definitely give you great reward of this service.

As for the Q/A section, its a great idea and i have no objections whatsoever regarding privacy.

Furthermore, i have some suggestions for your website;

1. Is it possible to change its overall appearance and navigation layout? I think this change would have a drastic improvement in its traffic.

2. Can we have two simultaneous versions of this site, one completely in English and the other completely in Urdu?

3. One more thing, is it possible to make contributions in your site? Like if i want to write some articles related to Quranic studies or personality development, can i submit them to you for publication?

Looking forward for your kind reply.

Brgds & thanks

Dear Kamran

Assalam o alaikum wa Rahmatullah

Many thanks for your kind comments and suggestions. The response is as follows:

1. I’ve recently changed the entire appearance of the website. Previously it was based on Naskh font. Now it is shifted to Nasta’leeq font. The font “Jameel Noori Nastaleeq” is available on different websites.

If you’ve some suggestions for improvement of layout, feel free to share.

2. From now onwards, my plan is to write every new article / book in two languages: Urdu & English. Both will be separate. The Quranic Arabic Program is an example.

3. You are highly welcomed for your articles. Feel free to send me your articles. The policy to publish the writings is that the content should not be against the Quran / Sunnah and it should not directly target a particular person or group.

Salam

I was astonished when I visited ur site deeply. You have really done a marvelous job. I have just gone through the translation of Imama Shafai and a few contents of personality development. You have really really done a wonderful job. I feel myself unlucky as I could not have the information of ur wonderful site. Why don’t u market it properly? Or at least u should give a link on Ishraq Dawa site.

Rehan used to say that u r a JINN. I disagree with him. U appear to be a Super Super JINN. I feel ashamed on my work when I see ur job.

Dear Brother, Congrats and May Allah give more potential to serve the community. Pl give me the guidelines so that I can work like u. Whenever u coming to Pakistan? Do meet me whenever u come to Pakistan.

Mind this thing that this is not a formal appreciation, it is from my heart.

Dear Brother

Assalam o alaikum wa Rahmatullah

Sorry, I was away from my office yesterday so was unable to reply. Many thanks for your kind appreciation and positive criticism. I’ll try to improve in the areas mentioned by you. The comments of you and Brother Rehan are just your sincerity and love otherwise I’m nothing.

I’ve requested Brother Rehan to put a link on Ishraq website. He may have asked his staff but they might have not done so. I’ve placed the links of various writings on some websites like www.kitaabghar.com and a lot of readers are coming from there. Various readers have put the links on their websites. Al Hamdulillah, average hits per day are around 700.

Right now I’m working on a mega project to bring the entire religious studies online. I’ll send you the brief of this project in a separate email. The vision of this project is available at the following link:

This project has taken my entire time and I’m finding very little time for marketing effort. But Insha Allah will do so in next quarter after I finish the Arabic language section of this project.

We’ll definitely meet once I visit Pakistan.

Remember in your prayers

Dear Mubashir Sb,

Assalam o alaikum

Thanks for sharing the information. I have gone through the contents of your website. It is really impressive. Things have been written with heart and style. May Allah shower his blessings on you. I have recently read some parts of an interesting book. I would like to share with you.

“Robert Fulghum’s keeps life lessons simple with his book, All I Really Need to Know i learned in Kindergarten: Uncommon Thoughts on Common Things

(Back to the Basics)The lessons that we learn at an early age are the ones that we should cherish the most. According to Fulghum these are the things that he learned in school:

——- Share everything.

——- Play fair.

——- Don’t hit people.

——- Put things back where you found them.

——- Clean up your own mess.

——- Don’t take things that aren’t yours.

——- Say you’re sorry when you hurt somebody.

——- Live a balanced life – learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work some every day.

——- Be aware of wonder. Remember the little seed in the Styrofoam cup: the roots go down and the plant goes up and nobody really knows how or why, it just does.

——- Everything you need to know is out there somewhere.”

I wish you to continue your mission of service to the people. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you continue your mission.

Dear & Respected Brother,

Assalam o Alaykum,

I am fine and hope same to you.

I am Muhammad Sohail, working as IT officer. Actually, I find your website and email address during an internet search regarding urdu books. Your website is different & unique like your personality. You have modern qualifications with beautiful colors of religious and social knowledge. I think its special blessing and gift of Almighty Allah upon you. Translation of “Kitab Al Risala” & “Uloom Alhadith” is a great contribution to urdu litrature. And about “Safarnama”, its excellent.

You are a person with a lot of knowledge, so you know better about “Deen” than me. But I want to let you know about a most dangrous thing, “Raya-Kari”(I do not know the english meaning), Or “Shirk-e-Khafi”. Can you see a black ant on black stone in a black jungle in night..? “Ray-a-kari” is same like a black ant. So my brother, take care. Otherwise, you will find yourself ’empty-handed’ at last.

May Allah bless you and increase your knowledge. People like you are asset for “Ummat-e-Muslima”.

With Best Wishes,

Muhammad Sohail

Dear Brother

Many thanks for your kind mail and comments. Please feel free to send me a critical evaluation of my writings.

I really appreciate your reminder for Riyakari (or ostentation). It is the biggest threat especially for a person working for the religion. This is something that the Quran has described as تواصوا بالحق. May Allah bless you for that reminder. Please keep sending such reminders me about such things. I’ll be grateful to you. Nobody knows when the Satan can attack on us.

I guess that you’ll be interested in writings about “Tazkiya Nafs”. You can see a collection of writings on personality:

Please help me in improving this area.

Dear Brother,

Assalam o Alaykum,

Thank you very much for so nice answer. And sorry for late reply.Actually I wrote previous email because of some good reasons. Firstly, your approach towards knowledge and understanding looks pure (Saleem-al-aql). Secondly, I saw that most ‘Ulma-e-kram’ are not ‘Ulama’ but ‘Ulama-e-soo’. They are against English, technology and research, and promoting the division among muslims.

Also I want to let you know that I didn’t see any ‘Riyakari’ in your work. So consider my previous words as a love from a younger brother. I liked your work and thinking, so wrote an advice because this disease(ostantation) is very common in our society.

About introduction, I am IT professional (but I have lost my professionalism), working in PM Sec. AJK as IT officer. Like hiking, rock climbing and reading.

I will see your collection as advised and I will welcome any advice/email from your side. Hope you will always remember me in your ‘Dua’.

With Best Wishes,

Muhammad Sohail

Dear Brother

Wa alaikum us salaam wa Rahmatullah e wa Barakatuhu

Sorry for replying late. May Almighty Allah make me according to your good perception (Husn Zan) about me. You’ve correctly mentioned that some of our religious leaders are promoting sectarianism and deviating us from technology and research. The best solution of this problem is to promote positive values e.g. unity, love for humanity, love for knowledge etc.

Probably you’ll be based at Muzaffarabad. I like your city a lot especially the joining point of River Neelum & Jhelum is marvellous. I’ve almost seen entire Azad Kashmir. Basically I belong to Jhelum. Now a days living at Jeddah. My interests are also similar to you i.e. hiking, travelling, reading and writing. You might have seen my safarnama of Saudi Arab, Jordan & Egypt.

If you please share your valuable comments on it, it will be a great help for me.

Remember in your prayers and keep me reminding for issues like Riyakari.

Assalam Alaikum Nazir Sahib,

I visited your website and found somehow interesting travelogues.

Congratulations on it.

I saw your some topics like مولوی اور دور جدید/سیکس کے بارے میں متضاد رویے etc – you have quite openly discussed quite difficult things.  I want to ask you a question – I have gone through your resume and found that you are basically from Audit side. Have you ever studied Islam as a subject? Or have you ever studied it in some Madarsa etc?

Dear Tahir sb

Assalam o alaikum & Eid Mubarak

In addition to my professional studies, I’ve studied Islam privately from the teachers of different Madaris. It was practically not possible for me to join a Madrassa full time. Therefore, I studied Sarf-o-Nahav, Mantiq, Fiqh, Hadith, Tafsir and Arabic Literature from different scholars in private sittings. Now a days, I’m studying classic Arabic Literature of Prophet’s time. In future, I’ve plans to get a Masters degree from a recognized university Insha Allah. I am a student of religion and want to live as a student.

Please feel free to share your views, comments and questions on my articles.

Criticism on the Website

I think if you want to concentrate on dawah work, just concentrate on that thing. Don’t confuse the visitor by combining risk management with dawah work.

Jhangeer Hanif, Lahore, Pakistan

Sep 2007

Actually it is not a pure Dawah site. It is sharing of what I have. I share three things with my friends i.e. profession, dawah and adventure so the website has three sections. But links are also available that if some one came for one area, he may be interested in another area.

Mubashir

Sep 2007

I understood why you put three main links on the website. Actually, why I said is because I wanted you to concentrate on dawah thing, on the personal side of your life. It is good that you develop in other fields of knowledge. But, I do not object to this.

I have gone through a couple of paragraphs. It was interesting to read it. The correct translation for safarnama is Itinerary…………there has to be “the” before the Quran and the Bible.

Jhangeer Hanif, Lahore, Pakistan

Sep 2007

Thank you very much for correction and comments. I think the word “itinerary” is used for a travel guide book which is different from a safarnama (collection of observations, feelings and experience of traveller). An itinerary is usually an objective description whereas the safarnama is a subjective thing. Mubashir

I think itinerary does cover these things as well. For instance, according to this entry: Travel literature is travel writing considered to have value as literature. Travel literature typically records the people, events, sights and feelings of an author who is touring a foreign place for the pleasure of travel. An individual work is sometimes called a travelogue or itinerary.

This entry particularly pinpoints FEELINGS of the traveler, which make it subjective as you mentioned. Jhangeer
