Arnold Schwarzenegger is one of the most popular stars of Hollywood. He hails from Austria. He started his career as a body builder and won several awards. In 1968, he came to the United States. In addition to body building, he wanted to get a chance to work in movies as an actor. In 1970, he worked in a movie “Hercules in New York”. He became famous due to his movie “The Terminator” released in 1984.
After his extra-ordinary achievements in the film industry, he started his career as a politician. He was also successful in this area. A film hero became a political hero. In 2003, he became the Governor of California.
About Arnold, it was published in newspapers that he wanted driving license for a motor bike. He was successful in getting that license but he had to pass various practical and written exams to get it.
This is amazing news for the people of the third world. Our governors do not need any license. Even if they do require one, the head of the respective department will bring that license to him. The matter is not limited to the driving license; there is no law in our countries for the ruling class.
Some people say that our ruling class has adopted this style. The matter is not so simple. The fact is that the “Rule of Law” is not made a social value in our societies. Due to this reason, people dislike any violation of law but they violate the law themselves whenever they find an opportunity to do so. From the politicians who claim to serve the poor citizens to those who are elected in the name of Islam, our law is overridden for all of them.
Our people demonstrate the same attitude. At individual level, each person violates the law according to his own capacity. For the rulers, it is easy to override law due to their powers. But for the public, they do not have such powers. But whenever they get an opportunity to violate the law, they do so. This attitude is called “lacking the rule of law” as a social value.
If any believer plants any plant and a human being or an animal eats of it, he will be rewarded as if he had given that much in charity.Prophet Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ واٰلہ وسلم (Bukhari) |
No nation in this world can progress without the rule of law. Rule of law means that all government decisions will be made on the basis of certain principles and procedures, not on the basis of the status of concerned person. Rule of law means that a weak person will enjoy the status of a powerful person. It is the rule of law which protects a society from all forms of anarchy and disorder. Powerful people are responsible for the disorder. The rule of law limits their powers.
Live nations promote the value of “Rule of Law” from the beginning. If we want to get rid of offense, anarchy and disorder in our societies, we must have to promote the value of “Rule of Law”. It is not possible to attain peace and justice without it.
