As salaamualaymkum wr wb
Dearest Brother,
I’m Siddick Bundhun from Mauritius. I’m 46 yrs old. Currently working as Head of HR in an international org. I’ve got an MBA (UK, Leicester) and 2 PDGs in Islamic Finance.
I’m a keen learner of Islam and encountered that Hadith in Fazail e ‘Aamaal. I wanted to know the authenticity of a hadith from Bayhaqqui:
“Recitation of the qur’aan in swalaah is better that Recitation of the qur’aan outside swalaah…..Recitation of the qur’aan outside swalaah is better than Tasbih and Takbiir……Tasbih and Takbiir is better than Sadqa…Sadqa is better than Swiyaam [nafil] and Swiyaam protects from Hell-fire”….
Regards,
Siddick Bundhun

Dear Brother
Assalam o alaikum wa Rahmatullah
I have just checked the Hadith and found it to be dha’eef (unauthentic) because its chain of narrators contain a weak narrator named ‘Amr Ibn Jumaih’. Albani also declared it dha’eef. You can check by yourself:
Most of Ahadith containing virtues of different acts are dha’eef in nature. During a particular time in the history, people fabricated Ahadith to promote certain acts of worship. We should be careful while telling such Ahadith because there is a risk of “shift of emphasis” due to such unauthentic or fake Ahadith. Many of them emphasize on one thing up to an extent that the significance of other important religious duties is undermined. This Hadith also contains such unreasonable emphasis on one thing at the cost of other i.e. Sadaqah.
This website www.dorar.net is useful for finding opinions of Hadith experts about authenticity of a Hadith. They are uploading further Hadith books from time to time.
How is the life at Maritius? Is there a big Muslim community there? Are you originally from India or Pakistan? How did you find my email address, through website or somewhere else?
Please feel free to share if you have further questions.
Keep in touch and remember in your prayers,
Wassalam

Dear Brother,
Wa alaykum salaam wr wb
Yea, I was looking for a mean on the web to verify the authenticity of the hadith on which I had strong doubts and by Allah’s will came across your site.
There are about 250,000 Muslims here. Our ancestors originally came from India about 1830-1850 [no Pak at that time.)
Tell me a bit about yourself.
